Dong’ao Island is considered by some to be the most beautiful

Dong’ao Island is 30 kilometers offshore, to the southeast of Zhuhai. Among Zhuhai’s islands, Dong’ao Island is considered by some to be the most beautiful.
What attracts tourists the most is the island’s beach, including Nansha Bay, Dazhu Bay, and Xiaozhu Bay. Nansha Bay, also known as “Diamond Island”, is the most famous of the three, where visitors can enjoy surfing, scuba diving, and sailing in the cool, blue, clean water.
Diamond Beach is the most famous beach on Zhuhai's Dong'Ao Dao (Island). Located in Nansha Wan (Bay) on the west side of the Island.
This is the southern end of the beach, shot at night, 60 sec. exposure in moonlight. The lights are from the small hotel located at Nansha Bay, to the right is the jetty where the ferries from Zhuhai arrive. You could go to Zhuhai for a trip when you come to Guangzhou for Canton Fair.

Because of the humidity of the island, you are likely to encounter mosquitoes and other pests, so do remember the insect repellent. The peak tourist season is from May to October, and you are advised to book hotel rooms before you go there. However, the hotels are much cheaper in the low season from November to April, so it may be better to visit Zhuhai during that period.
